Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DealsClub (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal data across the DealsClub website, the DealsClub consumer app, and the DealsClub Business & Staff app (together, the “Platform”). By using the Platform you acknowledge and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect: (a) account and profile data you provide (such as name, email, phone number, and for Businesses, venue details); (b) Deals you claim, activate, redeem or review; (c) approximate or precise device location, if you grant permission, to show nearby Deals and to enable on-site activation/check-in; (d) device and technical data (device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, IP address, push-notification tokens); and (e) usage and diagnostic data to operate and improve the Platform.
We do not collect or store full payment-card details. Any payments are handled by independent third-party payment providers under their own terms and policies.
2. How we use data
We use data to: provide and operate the Platform; show Deals near you; process claims, activations and redemptions; send service and reminder notifications; authenticate users and keep accounts secure; prevent fraud and abuse; provide support; comply with legal obligations; and improve our services. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing & third parties
We share data only as needed to run the Platform: (a) with the Business whose Deal you claim or redeem, so it can honour the Deal; (b) with service providers that process data on our behalf (for example authentication, hosting, content delivery, push messaging, mapping and analytics providers); and (c) where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data practices, security or content of any third party or Business, and any data you share with a Business is handled under that Business’s own policy, not ours.
4. Location & permissions
Location and other device permissions are requested only with your consent and used for the features described above. You can disable them at any time in your device settings; the Platform will still work, with reduced functionality (for example searching by area instead of precise location). You are responsible for the permissions you grant.
5. Security — no guarantee
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect data. HOWEVER, NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OR STORAGE IS COMPLETELY SECURE, AND WE CANNOT AND DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY, INTEGRITY OR CONFIDENTIALITY OF ANY DATA. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DealsClub and its owners are not liable for any unauthorised access, loss, leak, theft, alteration, interception or disclosure of data, for any data breach or security incident, or for any harm arising from such events, whether caused by third parties, service providers, your own devices or accounts, or events beyond our reasonable control. You use the Platform, and provide data, at your own risk.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide, for keeping your account and devices secure, and for any data you share with Businesses or other users. Businesses are independently responsible for any personal data they collect from users in the course of providing goods or services, and act as their own data controllers for that data.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy or as required by law, after which we delete or anonymise it. Some records may be retained longer where necessary to comply with legal, accounting or fraud-prevention obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, or to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To make a request, email info@dealsclub.io. We will respond as required by applicable law. Some data may be retained where we have a legal basis or obligation to keep it.
9. International transfers
The Platform and our providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we take steps intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for such transfers; however we make no guarantee in this respect.
10. Children
The Platform is not intended for, and must not be used by, anyone under 18 (or the age of majority where they live). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and your continued use of the Platform means you accept it.
